Implementation

This guide helps you with developing your Redakt CMS based web application project. The sections below assume you have already setup basic configuration for your application, including a working connection to a data store. See the Getting Started guide if you have not done so.

View Models

One of the first things you'll do when starting a new Redakt CMS project is defining your view models. These models determine which properties are available for editing on your pages and content items. Redakt has 2 types of models, page models and content models.

Read more about creating view models.

Layouts

Now that you have created some content models, you need to create your layouts to render them.

Extending and customising

Redakt CMS has many extensibility points where you can modify the default behaviour or add your own modules.

MVC

Redakt CMS can be used side by side with your own MVC controllers and views without any problems.
